Computer Studies (16-)
The first ICL-CES Computer Studies 'pupil book' (text book) was released in 1971. There were three pupil books produced, as well as a revision guide. All three received multiple printings and the first two books also received second editions, with a different front cover and revised contents. For the first edition, it was known as "Computer studies"; for the second: "Computer Studies".
First edition material has the same graphic design style for all releases. Note the differing rows of yellow punch cards depending on the book. (The first printing of book 2 erroneously has the same front cover as 1, and this was rectified in reprints). The second edition revised books have different graphics. This makes it easy to determine what edition a resource is from/to be used with.
You can see from the details below that each book was reprinted multiple times, approximately yearly.
Books 1 and 2 were revised during the latter half of the 1970s, to take into account the rapidly changing landscape of CS education, choosing to include more on the applications of computing, business processing and the actual using of these computers. There was no revised version of book 3 produced, as by the time this was published, the content was already taking into account this changing landscape. One may have been produced in due course, should ICL have continued with the project past 1983.

Spiral bound hardback book that is compatible with the Flipatran system, which was an attachment available for OHPs in the late 1960s. Schools had an issue with this as the use had to be clarified in an ICL-CES newsletter.
I'm still looking for a copy of pack 2.
There was an updated release later in the 1970s with 20 colour transparencies to accompany the second edition
